It can be easy to go off track when it come to making healthier options when all we want is comfort food. So, here is our super simple and healthy homemade spiced apple crisps recipe for you to enjoy.
Ingredients
- Apple of choice
- Cinnamon
Method
- Heat your oven to 160C/ 140C fan/ gas mark 3.
- Slice the apples into thin slices (approx 1 – 2mm thick).
- Lie the slices flat on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Cook for approx 1 hour (however this will depend on your oven and the thickness of the apples so check often).
- Turn the apples over halfway through.
- Continue cooking until the apples have dried out and are a light golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Once cool, store in an airtight container.
