Now that November 5th (fireworks night) has gone, it’s time to get into the Christmas spirit. What better way to do that than to start watching all of the amazing Christmas adverts that have started to come out. I remember watching the very first John Lewis Christmas advert back in 2007. That advert seems to have started off this whole magical saga and i don’t know about you, but we love it! Each year companies seem to try and out do each other, with the adverts getting bigger, more expensive. Now it appears to be this huge thing we all love to see and talk about when they finally get launched.
The only issue is they can be hard to find sometimes. So, to make it easy for you to get into the Christmas spirit and watch all of these fabulous adverts, we’ve linked them all below.
John Lewis Christmas Advert
A very different one for the John Lewis Christmas ad this year. A young boy introduces a friend from outer space to our Christmas traditions as he brings her food.
Asda Christmas Advert
It’s as though Asda and Dancing On Ice decided to partner up! This advert follows a family through their Christmas preparation from shopping to the day itself – on ice of course.
Boots Christmas Advert
A great Christmas ad with a little nod to Mary Poppins. I can imagine this is what Christmas would feel like to a child who gets mounds of presents, or if you won the lottery. Full of magic and wonder, the gift that keeps on giving! Plus, that last gift really does smell amazing.
Very Christmas Advert
One of the first Christmas ad’s out this year, Very is on their game! Filled with carol singers, Christmas lists and buttering up the parents to get the gifts you want. A great family orientated Christmas ad.
Aldi Christmas Advert
After previous years, the Aldi Christmas ad has a lot to live up to. I have to say it doesn’t disappoint as Kevin the carrot makes a return! One of the favourites again this Christmas with a great feel to it throughout.
JD Sports Christmas Advert
This advert is said to have been filmed on the very street where JD Sports was founded more than 40 years ago. It has a very modern, street vibe to it with a huge focus on sportswear instead of Christmas or being with family.
Lush Christmas Advert
This advert has a very modern, anime feel to it, with a sprinkling of nostalgia from stories such as sleeping beauty. It doesn’t have a hugely obvious Christmas vibe to it.
Sports Direct Christmas Advert
Showing how everyone comes together at Christmas – especially if it snows! Featuring athletes such as – Jack Grealish and Jordan Pickford, Emma Raducanu, Jessica Ennis-Hill and grime artist Big Narstie. Said to have cost around £6 million to create!
Barbour Christmas Advert
Probably my favourite one this year. It has a very nostalgic feel to it. Featuring Paddington bear in an animated production, just as they were when i was a child. A simple nod to British made products, made sustainably.
Marks & Spencer Christmas Advert
Staring the iconic Percy the pig (voiced by Tom Holland) as he comes to life once the lights go out. Also staring Dawn French giving it a comedy element.
Smyths Toys Christmas Advert
Of course this one is aimed at the magic and imagination of Christmas seen through a child’s eye. Toys coming alive to make dreams come true.
House Of Fraser Xmas Advert
An advert aimed at making this Christmas even more special after last years was cancelled. Reminding people of the simple joy’s of Christmas and being with family.
Lidl Christmas Advert
How i remember Christmas day used to be (minus the aliens of course) with family crammed around a table way too small. Food piled as high as can be and laughter all around. I can’t wait for Christmas dinner!
Debenhams Christmas Advert
Since Boohoo took over Debenhams, here is their first ever Christmas ad. A simple advert with a beautiful poem to make you feel all nostalgic.
TK Maxx Christmas Advert
A twist on having to sit through hours and hours of school Christmas plays and concerts. Brimming with confidence and letting your inner child out.
Argos Christmas Advert
A fun and simple advert. Possibly one for the older folk here but if you remember being handed the Argos catalogue when you were younger to circle things you wanted, this one is for you!
Hobbycraft Christmas Advert
A great, feel good advert for the crafty folk. It has a really homely feel to it and has some great inspirational ideas to get you making your own Christmas decorations this year.
Notonthehighstreet Xmas Advert
Not the usual advert where it’s more of a story. This one comes across more like an advert trying to sell you things than a beautiful story as with the likes of the Sainsburys Christmas advert for example. Still a great bit of Christmas magic though!
Disney Xmas Advert
Finishing off with a fun and light-hearted Christmas ad from Disney. This one focuses on the magic children can bring to adults at Christmas.
What was your favourite Christmas ad this year? How do you get into the Christmas spirit?
