How To Use An Expenses Spreadsheet
All you have to do is download the below free printable monthly expense sheet and start filling it in.
There are two versions to choose from below. A 6 monthly spreadsheet and a monthly spreadsheet. Pick the one that works best for you.
If you go for the 6 monthly spreadsheet, simply fill in the months of the year across the top – you can start from any time in the year and then fill out the expenses as you go.
If you choose the monthly spreadsheet, simply fill out the form as it is. Insert your budgeted amount for each item, then at the end of the month work out your actual spend for each section. Add up the difference and insert your saving or over spend for each section. This will give you a quick way of being able to see whether you’re on budget, over budget, or managed to save in each area.
Whichever spreadsheet you chose, you can return back here each month (or every 6 months) by bookmarking, or saving this page to re-download the free printable monthly expense sheet to use again and again.
To save the page, simply go to file – save page as – save to desktop.
