Park Holidays recently carried out a survey which revealed as many as 74% of Brits were planning a staycation this year. There are many reasons why Brits want to head to our beautiful coast at this time of year, including…

The Best Destinations
Of all the locations available, the nation voted Great Yarmouth was the best place for a staycation. It’s beautiful beaches. The wide variety of shops, amenities, entertainment, arcades, quirky accommodation and places to explore made it a winner among Brits.
Great Yarmouth’s beautiful sandy beaches look more like the ones you’d find in the Costa Del Sol than England. Plus it has as many as 40 fish and chip shops for you to choose from. The low average rainfall and high number of sunshine hours per day also make it a popular choice. There are all kinds of fun things to see and do in Great Yarmouth. It ticks so many boxes for both families and couples alike.
Other top coastal destinations included Bournemouth, Southend-on-Sea, Brighton, Margate, Clacton-on-Sea and Brixham.
