My mind has been totally changed towards reading and reviewing books these last few months. I’m reading anything from crime thrillers and romantic novels. To books about anxiety and how to become a successful entrepreneur. It seems at the moment, anything goes! My latest book to read is From Broken To Brave by Sam Pearce. A profound look into life and business from a successful business woman.
I like to flick between genres of books as that seems to be what keeps my mind occupied and fulfilled the best.

Quick Overview
A quick overview of this book – It’s the story of author Sam’s life, both the good and the bad bits. The lessons she learn’t along the way and how she dealt with them them. From losing a friend due to suicide, and how she dealt with both mental and physical abuse.
However, this book isn’t all doom and gloom. Sam wanted to write the book to share her life experiences to try and help others who might be going through something similar.

One thing i found really great about this book compared to similar books was her positivity towards life, even during the harder times. I’m not sure how i would deal with losing a close friend to suicide! I have lost two of my closest friends to Cancer in the last few years (one was just 25), but suicide feels like a whole other aspect of death!
Positive Quotes
The book is filled with great quotes throughout from people like – Thomas A Edison and former PM Tony Blair. To everyday people like you and me – singers, successful entrepreneurs, writers, teachers. Even down to some wise words from an actual Holocaust survivor!

Chapters
Each chapter is split up in to different stories, or parts of her life which she talks about in detail. Then at the end of the chapter, there is a separate section where she goes in to more detail about the lesson she learned during that time in her life. I haven’t read a book like this before where the author is so open about their life.
I love that it isn’t just a story of her life. You actually feel you learn something from reading about her mistakes and triumphs. Things you can take away and implement in to your own life pretty easily.

If you’re struggling to find the positivity in life, i would definitely recommend you give this book a read. It doesn’t come across as being pushy, or that author Sam is looking down at you or judging you. It’s simply her life experiences she’s sharing with you.
Have you had the chance to read the book From Broken To Brave yet? What book reviews would you recommend?
