FlexiSpot is one of the leading brands in the standing desk category, so they’re a great place to start. In this review, we’ll be looking at the FlexiSpot E7 in detail – including its pros and cons, price point, usability and overall look and feel – to help you decide if it’s the right standing desk for you or not.
FlexiSpot E7 Standing Desk Review
Out of the many brands and styles of standing desk i’ve tried over the years, i do really like the Flexispot range.
After a quick read of the instructions, it’s pretty simple to assemble (under 1 hour) and although it’s easier to do with a second person, you can do it alone. However, the trickiest part was trying to put together the cable tray – which isn’t explained as clearly as it could be in the instructions.
It’s a great looking desk, the most sleek so far that i’ve tried. It’s also quite a heavy desk due to the mechanical legs, making it very sturdy (it can hold up to 35 pounds)!
You can choose between a white or a black frame (legs and under the table). As well as also being able to choose the colour table top. There is a variety to pick from including – maple, oak, white, bamboo, black, mahogany, grey…etc. So pretty much anything to fit your colour scheme. A lot of the table tops also have the option of different sizes and shapes. So if you prefer a straight edge, curved edge to get closer to the table, or even need a thinner desk – they’ve got you covered!
As the adjustable height table is mechanical, with moving parts, you might think it could be noisy, but it’s actually pretty quiet to adjust. There is also a memory setting, making it easier to set it to the right sitting and standing height for you.
Here’s a quick over view of the pro’s and con’s…
