Christmas can be hard at the best of times with all the planning and organising that many of us put into making the day extra special. However, throw into that all the present buying for friends and family and it can get overwhelming very quickly. To help you get started, here are a few self care Christmas gift ideas you could get this year.
From luxury handmade sheepskin slippers, to jump ropes and filtered water bottles for the sports enthusiasts, we’ve got you covered!
Xanthe Anna Slippers
You can’t beat a great pair of sheepskin slippers as a self care Christmas gift idea. These ones from Xanthe Anna are handmade to order in the UK (so they can take a bit longer to arrive), but make the ideal gift. They come in a variety of colours and styles – from pink and plum slip ons, to ankle boots in wine and leopard.
I have a pair of the slip on slippers and oh boy are they comfortable and perfect for the in-coming cold winter months. The sheepskin insides hug my feet perfectly and keep them toasty and warm. The hard soles make them ideal for walking on both carpet and hard floors. Plus, the ridges underneath stop any possibility of slipping on those harder surfaces.

Founder Xanthe Anna makes sheepskin boots and shearling slippers in Wales, using natural and low impact materials. Xanthe is dedicated to making the best environmental choices available to create eco-friendly, high-quality products.
Aquaphor Filter Water Bottle
This 500ml filtered water bottle is another great addition as a self care Christmas gift idea. Starting from just £14.99, it’s a great budget option. It comes in a variety of different colours from – blue and grey, to pink, lime green and even cyclamen.
Created for active people, this lightweight and impact resistant bottle is also BPA free. It has a replaceable filter cartridge to ensure your water is purified as it removes active chlorine from your drinking water. Another plus of course, is that it means there’s less single use plastic being wasted.

However, if you don’t think they’ll like a water bottle, then how about a water filter jug like this one below. If you’d like to get your hands on this one, simply comment below why you’d like it. The winner will be emailed directly and will receive a water filter jug AND a water bottle!
Dope Rope Jump Rope
For the fitness enthusiast in your life, how about a jump rope (skipping rope) – and possibly a mat as well to get them started. Jump rope these days is so different to what i remember growing up. A thick string rope with wooden handles you jumped over – and got bored of after a few minutes. However, these days jump rope is so different, and exciting! The ropes are nicer and more varied, and the tricks you can learn with your rope are amazing!

Plus, you could also get a soft mat to jump on – protecting your rope from wear and tear, and making it kinder on your knees. There are cardio ropes if you just want to jump as fast as you can. Or beaded ropes for beginners wanting to learn new tricks. Personally, i have one of each so i can do both – depending on how i’m feeling at the time.

Fairy Lights
This might seem like an odd gift, but who said fairy lights just had to be for Christmas? Personally, i love warm white fairy lights all year round. They make me smile when i see them and isn’t happiness most of what self care is all about?

Plus, if you get battery operated fair lights then you can have them on as much as you like, and anywhere you like. I like to drape them around the bathroom, along with a few candles – sometime seven funny candles with quirky labels or unexpected scents for a little extra joy while i indulge in a long bath soak. A bath full of bubbles, maybe a favourite drink and a few snacks as i soak and unwind.
These fairy lights from Quntis come on a reel so they’re simple to store away, and are battery operated making them very versatile.
