When you get stuck in a rut with your lifestyle blog, it can be very difficult to climb out of it. The blogging blues are real and it can be very tricky to come face to face with these issues. Instead of beating yourself up and allowing yourself to feel deflated, you need to learn how to overcome each hurdle as it arises. When you’re working from home it can be easy to become distracted. Or even doubt yourself as a professional. Whatever your issues are, here are a few ways for you to get out of your blogging rut.

Get People To Take You Seriously
If you don’t think people take you seriously, do something about it! If you want people to see you as a genuine business, you have to come across as being one.
Perhaps you could get a virtual post box with online access? If you are finding you are giving out your home address a lot, it makes sense to get a post box of some kind to not only keep you safe, but to also make it seem to potential new clients that you are intact, a legit business and should be taken seriously.
Land That Dream Collaboration
When nobody seems to be giving you any attention, it’s time to scream, shout and stake your claim on the industry. Don’t let anybody quieten your voice; you should be spurred on to create more content than ever before. Tag your favourite brand, keep reviewing their products for free and you will get noticed one day.
Be Active On Your UK Lifestyle Blog
Don’t wait around for companies to come to you for collaborations. There are thousands of bloggers out there these days. So to be seen or heard, you need to get yourself out there. No one else will do this for you. Contact PR agencies telling them what you’re about. What you’re interested in. What you can offer them and always remember to include your blog stats!
Also, you need to be realistic when speaking to brands and/or agencies. If you have a very small following and/or a fairly new blog, don’t go asking for an all expense trip to a far off country in return for a blog post as the likelihood is they will just think you are taking the piss and won’t contact you back. Tell them what you can give them, how passionate you are about their products and how you would love to help them out…but be genuine! Don’t contact a brand you don’t like or know nothing about as they will see right through it.
Grow Your Social Media Following Organically
If your social media following is looking a little sad and low, then it’s your job to do everything you can to grow this organically, so no, this DOES NOT mean you go out and buy followers! Use hashtags, start engaging more and over time you will see a growth in your followers. Stay as authentic as possible and people will soon be flocking to you to hear what you have to say.

Stick With Your Passion
You need to keep on showing your passion for blogging, no matter what stands in your way. If someone tries to veer you in a different direction you have to stand your ground. No matter what anybody says, keep listening to your heart. You’re an amazing lifestyle blogger who is set to do wonderful things in their career. Sticking with your passions will always get you a long way.
So stay on track with your personal blogging goals and learn how to overcome the little bumps in the road. You can get to where you want to be as long as you’re willing to put that little bit of extra hard work in when necessary. Whether you’re having trouble with people taking you seriously or you are being swayed to go in another direction, always remember why you started in the first place. The blogging blues shouldn’t take over your life for longer than a few moments. Learn how to pick yourself up and get out of your blogging rut. Dust yourself off, and start again. You will overcome the worst eventually.
