Jump to RecipeWhat Toppings Can I Use?
Of course, you can use any toppings you like. They don’t even have to be healthy toppings, simply use ingredients you know you love, or have in your cupboards already.
Chocolate Lovers
If you would prefer to make it sweeter, you could add a drizzle of melted chocolate. Or even add in a few dark chocolate chips (or vegan chocolate chips) to give it extra sweetness. The ideal combination for those with a sweet tooth.
Make It Fruity
However, if you do want to make your vegan yogurt bark slightly healthier, you could fill it with fresh raspberries, fresh strawberries, or even fresh blueberries. If you have a banana that’s going a bit brown in the fruit bowl, you could use that as your topping. You would however, need to slice it thinly so you could still eat it once your yogurt mixture was frozen.
Go Nuts!
For some extra healthy fats, why not try adding in a few chopped nuts, some crushed cashew nuts, coconut flakes, chia seeds or even an extra drizzle of peanut butter to your dairy-free yogurt to make it a healthy treat.
Protein Packed
If you want to make this yoghurt bark recipe more of an additional source of protein, try adding in a scoop of your favourite protein powder when mixing in the un-frozen plain yogurt. Make sure you mix it in well to avoid getting any un-wanted lumps in your frozen treat.
What Kind Of Yogurt Can I Use?
You can use any yogurt you like for this recipe, depending on your dietary requirements and likes.
Personally, we love to use greek yogurt as it has a much thicker consistency. However, you could also use plain unsweetened yogurt, regular yogurt that isn’t dairy-free or even soy yogurt. Anything you love to use or have available to you.

Instructions
Start by lining a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly oil the paper. Then set aside while you make the healthy treat.
Wash all of your strawberries and place into a blender with x2 tablespoons of water and bend until smooth.
In a medium bowl, mix in your yogurt, half of the strawberry mixture, your sweetener, and vanilla extract. Mix well to ensure everything has been incorporated into the yogurt mixture.

When you’re happy with the consistency, pour out your yogurt into your prepared baking sheet, making sure it’s as even as possible.
Then start by adding on your toppings. Drizzle on the rest of the strawberry mixture (to make this look more arty, use something small like a tooth pick to swirl the strawberry sauce around). Then add on your crispies and finally drizzle with the nut butter.

When you are happy with all of your toppings, simply place the yogurt bark in the freezer until it has set this will usually take about 2-3 hours.
Once set, cut your healthy yogurt bark into smaller, bite size pieces and serve while still frozen.

The best way to store leftovers of this type of yogurt is in an airtight container, or in a freezer-safe container. It will store well for up to 3 months.
