With health at the fore-front of people’s minds a lot more since the pandemic, supplements such as greens powders have become a lot more popular. Packed with pretty much every superfood you can think of, they are aimed at boosting the immune system, supporting the nervous system, fighting inflammation and providing digestive aid. Why wouldn’t we all be including this magical powder into our daily routine.

However, some greens powders can be a little hit and miss on both flavour and texture so it can be a bit of an expensive gamble if you don’t like it. Superfood powders such as these are renowned for being hard to get used to. The taste can be earthy. The texture can be very gritty.

Vital All In One Review
What Is Vital All In One?
Vital All In One, once called Vital Greens, was the first product developed by Vital back in 2000 – their hero product.
It was designed especially to give your body everything it needs for day to day life – in terms of nutrition. All of the vitamins and minerals your body requires to be as healthy as it possibly can be. One single dose contains over 70 vitamins, minerals, cultures, antioxidants, protein, greens and more.

It’s a superfood supplement that encourages better absorption of these vitamins and minerals, meaning you get more bang for your buck! Your body can take in more of the goodness, and less goes to waste as it passes through you.
How To Take Vital All In One
If you are new to taking a greens powder, it’s advised you start off by taking a smaller dose until you get used to the flavour and texture. Adults 12 and over are recommended to take 10g per serving (roughly 2 heaped teaspoons). However, if you re just starting your journey using this kind of powder, they advise you start off with one teaspoon per serving.
There are many ways in which to have your Vital greens powder, it really just depends on how you would prefer it…
- In a smoothie
- Added to your cereal
- Mixed in with your overnight oats
- Plain with water, or juice
However, you cannot add it to any hot foods as this affects the probiotics in it. So for example, you wouldn’t be able to have it in your porridge, or in a soup.
If you decide to have it with just water or in a juice, this is where you will be able to taste it the most. To start with, try adding it to a smoothie, or cold overnight oats as you can barely taste it.
The Texture & Flavour
The Flavour
Of course the flavour is very much personal to each individual. However, pineapple flavouring has been added so it’s not as earthy tasting as many other similar brands.

It is however, quite sweet tasting due to the stevia in it. So, if you don’t like sweet things, start with a smaller dose and see how you go. However, if you add it to something like a smoothie, both the flavour and texture get lost with the other ingredients. So much so, you’re unlikely to realise it’s even there.
The Texture
To be honest, it was the texture that i found hardest to get used to. Due to all of the vitamins, minerals and pre/probiotics, there is no getting away from the grainy texture. This is most noticeable if you have it as a drink with juice, water…etc. However, if you stir it really well to begin with, then keep stirring as you go, it isn’t so bad.
If you don’t think you’d be a fan of the grainy texture, use it in something like a smoothie instead where the grainy texture vanishes. I guess it’s the same as many protein powders in that way. If you were to have your protein powder with just water, it tastes a lot more grainy than it does in any other capacity.
Personally, if i have to have it with just water, i make it into a shot and down it! Followed by a lot of water to get rid of any stray grainy bits.
The Ingredients
I hope the image below gives you a good indication of the ingredients in the Vital All In One. There are over 70 so writing them all out seemed a little mind-numbing!
However, as a quick little overview…
- Greens, Vegetables and High Nutrient Fruits
- Antioxidants and Immune Support
- Additional Vitamins and Minerals
- Liver Support
- Probiotics, Prebiotics, Digestive Nutrients & Enzymes
- Nervous System Support
- Pea Protein Isolate
- Natural Sweeteners – Thaumatin, Stevia, Monk Fruit & Xanthan Gum
It’s a well-rounded ingredients list designed to help every part of your body.

Vital All In One Review – My Thoughts
Personally, when i first started taking it, i was surprised at how sweet it tasted. I was expecting it to be much more earthy than it was. However, i did get used to this very quickly and it was more the texture that affected me.
After some trail and error, the best way i found to take it was in my morning overnight oats. Yes it made them taste a little sweeter, but i couldn’t taste any of the grainy-ness at all, so that was a win for me!

Over the 3-ish months of taking Vital All In One, here’s what i noticed the most…
- Boost in energy
- Less brain-fog
- Clearer looking skin
- Better digestion
It was more the internal changes that surprised me the most. So many of these products seem to offer you the world, and rarely deliver. However, almost right away (after a week or so), i started to notice i had more energy in the mornings. I also noticed my digestion was better – i used to get bloated quite a lot, especially after bigger meals, but this changed i’d say after about 1 month. I very rarely get any bloating, and my gas levels have gone down loads (my husband loves this part).
Thankfully i’ve never had bad skin, and rarely ever got spots, but my skin feels so much smoother since taking vital greens. It looks brighter as well and have actually had compliments on this at the gym a few times. Kinda makes me wonder if i looked that bad before!
Would I Recommend It?
I would definitely recommend Vital All In One, especially if you struggle to get all of your fruits and vegetables in on a daily basis. Even my husband has started to take this every morning – and he doesn’t do supplements!

Oh no problem, thank you so much for taking the time to read it.
Vital sounds wonderful! I haven’t used a green powder for a while, but this inspires me to get back into it. It would be a great addition for my smoothies this summer and to boost the immune system and digestion. Great review and thank you for sharing!
Yes, i was surprised at how much i liked it once i had figured out how to hide the texture. Yes definitely, in a smoothie is the best way to go. Thank you for stopping by!
That’s really interesting about the digestive benefits – I suffer from bloating as well from time to time, so it sounds like this could really help!
Oh do you, i hope it’s not too bad for you. It’s definitely certain foods that set it off for me – and the heat! If you do give it a go, i hope it helps you as much as it did for me.
Thanks for sharing this supplement! I need to add more veggies to my diet. I know this would help.
